Since 1978, American Chimney Shroud’s parent company B.I.G. Company, Inc. has been designing, manufacturing and
installing decorative chimney shrouds for the Southern California home building market.
In 1993, the company had expanded dramatically.
These expansions brought about improvements in quality, delivery times and passed on an added savings to the customer.
Over the past decade, ACS’s parent company's continued growth in the Southern California market leads to expansion into the
outlying areas of the United States.
Currently, ACS has shipped their Chimney Shrouds to Hawaii, Alaska, Japan and ships throughout the Continental United States on a daily basis.
With strong relationships developed with International Fireplace and Venting Manufacturers, along with the proper listing agencies,
the product has been recognized as the first U.L. Listed Chimney Shroud. ACS continues to be a mainstay in the Chimney and Hearth marketplace.
Along with the arrival of the pre-fab metal fireplace in the late 1970's and early 1980's, came the sheet metal chase cover.
Of course these sheet metal caps rust, corrode and begin to break down, and become hazardous and dysfunctional after 10-15 years
(depending on proximity to salt, water, and climate).
American Chimney Shroud works with Homeowner's Associations to replace or upgrade existing chimney components in a timely and
cost effective fashion, using local installers or drop shipment.
Alternatively, some Associations may choose to add a chimney shroud or pot to increase curb appeal using the above process.
